Hershey Lodge

First time here. We were given almost the last room farthest away from anything!!! I didn’t realize this at checkin otherwise I would have requested to move. We did not book though a 3rd party; i booked directly though Hershey!! The kids complained anytime we walked 10 mins to the lobby- (where all the restaurants are.) Also, we returned home from the park late and to my surprise the room wasn’t made up! We had no clean towels or toiletries…. I had to call at 9pm and they explained housekeeping is only upon request!!! Wish they told me that at check-in or left a card in the room like other chains do. Then no coffee the following morning because again, no service the night before! The water park didn’t open until 12pm on our check out day, so we were unable to use it since it was our plan to go in the morning. Kind of disappointing for a not so cheap hotel.

The lobby, restaurants, and indoor waterpark were very nice all around. 5 stars for those parts. The rooms were in disrepair, which is not expected given the high price point. Some examples: Shower fixtures no longer attached to wall in 2 different rooms; Multiple wall power outlets too worn away to hold onto your plug; Light bulbs out; Heater falling off wall; Phone in room not working; Phone in another room working but missing the decal that says where the buttons call; blanket on the bed with large iron burn mark. These are all things that you’d expect a hotel to pick up on an address with ongoing room inspections. You might not expect Motel 6 to catch these things, but this is a high priced hotel. Final note, it is sometimes difficult or impossible to contact the front desk or operator. Whether calling from your room phone or cell phone. There are times when nobody picks up. This is significant because the front desk is a very long walk away from many of the hotel rooms.

I am very disappointed by my experience. The lady I made the reservation with said we wld have free breakfast for our stay but when we got to the lodge we were told our package had no breakfast.I had a first room with bugs which I took a picture of and made housekeeping know.Loved how prompt their response was and they asked if I wanted a new room or housekeeping cleaning, I opted for a new room n boi!!. The new room looked better but I later lifted the sheets and they had lots of stains. Dnt know how often house keeping comes in but my trash wasn’t picked up n I didn’t get any new towels either.

The lodge is in needs refurbished, I stayed in room 1418, toilet was loose, mold around tub. Was there 3 nights, housekeeping never showed up. Have stay there many times over the years, no excuse for for chairs near the lobby bar, to be to be worn through the covering. Hershey can do better

This place is laid out so weird. We booked a handicapped accessible room, but had to go around the one building extension to get to the nearest entrance, and there was NO handicapped parking spaces there! In fact, there was hardly any parking at all since that wind was across from the indoor water park, and spaces were being hogged by guests using that facility. The bathroom was hardly handicapped accessible. The toilet height was not up to ADA standards. And the shower was in a tub!! How could anyone who was in a wheelchair, or had trouble lifting their legs in and out of a tub use it? There was a bath chair that supposedly met the requirements. But for the cost you pay for these rooms, you would think the Hershey Lodge could invest in remodeling their handicapped bathrooms with walk-in showers! Disappointed in their lack of consideration for handicapped guests.

We took our 3 kids to Hershey Lodge over winter recess because it was the most reasonable priced venue. It was a bit of a drive from NY but Hershey Lodge offered the best price and amenities for 3 small kids. Hershey Park was closed until late March but there was still a lot to do. Staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was not as "dated" as some reviewers states. For the price, it was not a big deal. The Water Works was the main attraction for us an even though it was crowded (no seats), the kids had a great time in the pool and slides. Food options were on site. All the kids wanted were chicken fingers. The Lodge is a few minutes drive from the Gardens (butterfly sanctuary was an amazing experience), Museum (more engaging than expected) and Chocolate World. Our kids went on the free tour 4 times. All of this was included in our package (including a meal for the kids, chocolate bars and 2 towels). Considering the cost, it was nice memories for a family of 5 with little kids.

Came here for a weekend get away. Went to have dinner at revelry. Me and my wife got turned away because I had a shirt without the sleeves. Basically DISCRIMINATION!! I have a libre2 sensor in my arm and can't wear sleeves because the sensor gets caught and can be pulled out of my arm. I spent over $1000.00 to stay here for the weekend and got DISCRIMINATED!!! We will never come back here after this experience!!!

Beautiful facility with experienced staff. Treat yourself to a stay of at least 2-3 days so that you can experience the full effect of the staff and facility. From clean rooms, great food, and friendly staff, the Lodge was a great visit. If you are looking for a place to take a nice break, this is the place.

As a long-time participant of the Mid-Atlantic Fruit Conference, I can reflect on the changes in visiting the Lodge. To begin, I was late to make my reservation because of an uncertain surgery date. So, I didn't get the conference rate, which is my problem. I probably spent at least 30 minutes on the phone waiting for a live person to make a reservation. I am online literate but the choices there were not satisfactory. The room was okay but is somewhat dated as the furniture is scratched and the whole room just looks like it needs an update. Given the dollars spent it is a poor value. Also, check-in is very slow. The limited food availability at lunch is ridiculous given that this is a meeting facility. Also, the prices for breakfast items are quite high. Overall, our experience was very ordinary.
